Hey everyone, welcome back to The Learning Project Podcast! 🎙️ I’m Jennifer Hunter, and I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with you today.
If you’ve listened to the first few episodes, you know this podcast has always been about engagement, consistency, and building strong relationships in the classroom. We’ve explored everything from student motivation to t—all with the goal of creating learning environments where kids thrive. And don’t worry, that focus isn’t going anywhere!
But today, I want to share a big shift happening here at The Learning Project. Moving forward, STEM is taking center stage. 🚀
Now, why STEM? Why now? Because this is where my passion truly lies. As a principal, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful STEM can be when it becomes the foundation of learning—when we lead with science, technology, engineering, and math and integrate ELA and other subjects into it, rather than the other way around. And the impact? It’s undeniable.
Over my 20 years in education, I have never seen more growth, engagement, and excitement than in classrooms where hands-on problem-solving, engineering challenges, and scientific inquiry drive the learning. When students are curious, creating, and collaborating, their learning is deeper—and they love every second of it.
But let me be clear—this isn’t just about coding challenges or science experiments. This is about equipping students for the future by embedding the core STEM competencies: critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity, innovation and leadership. These skills don’t just prepare kids for careers in STEM fields—they prepare them for life.
So, if you’re passionate about STEM and want to create a learning environment where students truly thrive, you’re in the right place. I hope you’ll stick around for this journey! And if you’re looking for ways to bring more STEM into your classroom, be sure to check out learning-project.com.
Let’s build the future of learning together! 🌍✨
